
Jennifer always dreamed of being an multi-tasking star. As a child Jennifer was into a wide range of kinds of music, mostly Afro-Caribbean music like merengue, salsa, and the bachata. She also loved mainstream music , like hip-hop as well as R&B. Though she loved film, it was the industry of music that also intrigued her. The most influential film she was influenced by was the Rita Moreno musical, West Side Story (1961). At 5, Jennifer began taking singing and dancing lessons. Apart from becoming a budding entertainer, Jennifer is also a Catholic schoolgirl. She attended for eight years of the Catholic elementary school , named Holy Family, located in The Bronx, before graduating from an all-girls prep school, Preston High School after four years. While at school, Jennifer was an amazing athlete and participated in tennis and track. When she was in Castle Hill, she spent her early years in a two-story house. When she was 18, Jennifer moved out of the home of her parents. Lopez started working in an office in the field of law while dancing in the evenings.
