Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954, in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox went to Lennox's Royal Academy of Music, London in the 70s. She studied the harpsichord and the flautist piano for 3 years. The budget of her was augmented by a stipend for students and part-time jobs. Lennox did not feel happy with the quality of her abilities compared to others at Royal Academy and began looking at other options. Lennox started her professional career in the year 1976, as a member of the band Dragons Playground. She left the band prior to their appearance on I.T.V's Talent show New Faces. She was the lead singer to The Tourists (a British popband) from 1977-1980. As part of this group, she was first introduced to Dave Stewart. Together they created the Eurythmics Pop duo. Lennox started working with Diva in 1992. This was her debut album as a solo artist. Both commercially as well as critically the album was a massive success. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth album as a solo artist came out in the month of October, 2014. This C.D. Lennox chose her favourite blues and soul tracks. Lepidoptera features four keyboard tracks. The E.P. The first single from her debut album, Now I'm Letting You go... is an accompaniment to her installation of work at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. Annie Lennox is a Scottish musician and singer who was born on December 25th 1954. The Tourists had a minor success in the late 1970s. Lennox and Dave Stewart, a fellow musician, would go on to gain international recognition in the 1980s as the Eurythmics. Lennox's 1992 debut album Diva was a huge success, featuring a variety of songs, including Why and Walking on Broken Glass. Medusa is the album she recorded as her first studio album in 1995. The album features covers of some songs, including The No MoreI love Yous and The Whiter Shade of Pale. The singer has recorded six solo studio albums as well as a compilation album.
